Payments FAQs

The platform operates on a monthly rolling subscription basis which can be cancelled at any time. This gives you access to the sample library where you can download packs and samples in exchange for credits which will be accrued on your account each month depending on which subscription tier you choose. If you require something more customised, you can also purchase tracks, packs, samples and services directly from the artist. All payments are processed through Stripe, a secure payment gateway. We do not store any payment information on our servers, this is all handled by Stripe. If you have any issues with payments, please contact us through our support page.

For any payments that are showing as “In Protection” this is due to the payment being held by Stripe for a period of time. This is a security measure to protect both the buyer and the seller. Once both parties are happy with the delivery of the work or service, the order can be finalised and the funds will be released to the seller. If you have any issues with a payment showing as “In Protection” or you want to raise a complaint due to poor service from a vendor, please contact us through our support page.

Sample library commission is set at 50%, while sales commission for direct payments (tracks, services, jobs, and gig bookings) is set at 20%. This commission is calculated after payment processing fees are deducted, ensuring a fair split between the platform and artists.

We use Stripe to process all payments securely. Stripe charges processing fees (typically 1.5-4% depending on the payment method and region). To ensure fairness, these fees are deducted first from the total payment, and then the remaining amount is split between you (the vendor) and the platform. This means both the platform and artists share the cost of payment processing proportionally. For example, on a £10 sale with 20% platform commission, after Stripe fees are deducted, you receive approximately 80% of the remaining amount. This transparent approach ensures neither party bears the full burden of payment processing costs.

We have minimum prices of £5 for tracks, services, and jobs. This is because payment processing fees include a fixed component (around 20p per transaction) plus a percentage. On very small transactions, these fees would consume a disproportionate amount of the payment, making it unprofitable for both the platform and artists. By setting sensible minimums, we ensure that all transactions remain viable and that artists receive a fair payout for their work.
